To put it simply, SFXVI is a homebrew fighting game engine originally made in 1993 by T. Soeno for the Sharp X68000.
It went through various significant updates from 1994 to 1997, which can be considered the definitive version of the engine.
In a way, it predates the much popular MUGEN by various years, though SFXVI did not get much attention outside of Japan.
To use them, rename the file you wish to use from "***.zmd" to "BGM1_M.zmd" and copy again to "BGM2_M.zmd" in order to work properly in-game.
This will give more vibrant or corrected palette and portraits to certain characters.
An old repository made in Mediafire long ago. Now open to the public after being rightly motivated.
